God Talk: The Heart of Discipleship will start the new program year on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 11:00 pm. Everyone is welcome and invited to join the conversation.

Everyone's looking for answers; sometimes life seems so complicated. Join us as we journey to the center of our selves. Discuss and learn about the human experience and who we really are, and discover how we can reconnect to God and to each other.

Messy Church

Messy Church is fun, faith, family and food. Children and adults share the love of Jesus in a relaxed setting, while exploring a Bible story through crafts, games, worship and a meal. Messy Church is a movement that started in the Church of England in 2004, it has spread to 30 other countries and dozens of denominations. We are the only Episcopal church in New Jersey to be part of this global organization, along with a half million other worshippers.

Messy Church upholds five values.

Hospitality ~ In sharing a meal, we welcome all to enjoy God's unconditional love.
Creativity ~ We reflect God's creativity in our hands- on crafts and games.
Celebration ~ In our worship time, we reflect a God of joy.

Messy Church meets several times a year, usually on a Saturday afternoon.

What happened at August's Messy Church

On August 29, Messy Church came alive with joy, creativity, and celebration as 39 people gathered to explore Jesus’ first miracle: the Wedding at Cana.

Together, we stepped into the story in all kinds of hands-on ways. We shaped clay pinch pots to remember the stone water jars, decorated wedding cupcakes, and created a water-into-wine craft. A juice tasting station and our “filled to the brim” science experiment added even more fun to the afternoon.

One of the most meaningful parts of our time together was our outreach project with The Unforgotten Haven. We decorated and assembled 20 “birthday parties in a bag” for families in need. Thanks to the generosity of our Sunday morning congregation, we were able to fill the bags with cake mix, icing, cookies, birthday cards, and party supplies, helping make birthday celebrations a little brighter for local families.

The fun continued outdoors with a water relay and a lively circle dance to “Hava Nagila,” a beloved Jewish song of celebration. We ended our Cana wedding feast with a blessing toast and a dinner of hot dogs and fruit.
It was a wonderful gathering of faith, fellowship, service, and fun, truly a celebration to remember!
